Dr. Luis M. Liz-Marzán

Luis M. Liz-Marzán received his PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1992. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Van’t Hoff Laboratory (Utrecht University) and as visiting professor at Tohoku University, University of Michigan and University of Melbourne. He joined the University of Vigo in 1995, where he is a Full Professor. He has co-authored over 200 articles and 3 patents, is recipient of several research awards, editor and editorial advisory board member of several chemistry and materials science journals. His current interests include the synthesis and assembly of nanoparticles, nanophotonics, and the development of nanoparticle-based biosensors.
